I wish I had a snappy title

Cathy has received the ornament I made her for the Christmas Ornament Swap. I made quite a few changes with this little thing: omitted DMC 336/navy and used 310 instead (Cathy doesn't care for blue). Omitted the mulitcolored french knots that are supposed to be on the trees (looked too cluttered). Used snowflake charms because my stitched snowflakes looked really, really bad.

My *S* Scarf. It's Super-Skinny, Super-Soft and Super-Squishy...and the color; Super-Saturated. I've been wanting to try Malabrigo yarn, and I wasn't disappointed :)

Single Cable Scarf

yarn: Malabrigo worsted, color Tuareg
needles: size 9

I haven't crossed a single X all week. It's been a crazy busy one. I think compounded by no school on Monday. And Thursday my Oldest turned 14...WOW! So hard to believe.

  2. A very nice finish on the ornie. And what a fabulous scarf! You don't need x's when you can finish up something that pretty with those flying needles of yours.

  7. The ornament is very cute and the snowflakes are a very nice touch!

Staci, because of all the knitting you've been doing lately you've inspired me to pickup some new (sale!) yarns to stitch a simple scarf for myself. I need a super warm scarf as winter will still be here for awhile and our winter is turning out the coldest ever!

Isn't it amazing how quick they grow up? I can't believe that I have a teenager in the house already.

  20. Happy Birth Day to you mom!! It is amazing how the time flies and more surprising is how the relationship changes. I'm at the point in my parenthood where my kids and I have adult/adult (young adult) relationships and it's so wonderful. I used to miss every age as they passed into new things only to discover new joys (and challenges!!!)

Love the scarf and fob - more wonderful accomplishments from you-Bravo!

By the way - I tried your email suggestion for my angel and had a 10 minute window of opportunity with the sun out and got the pattern copied twice - thanks for your help!
