I really need to get on here and blog more, then maybe I wouldn't have to cram so much into one post :) But I really seem to be stuck on *posting-every-few-weeks*. Remember when I used to post *every-few-days*? No? Me neither.
My first thing to share today are these lovely woolly socks. The pattern was easily memorized and broke up the monotony of plain socks quite nicely. I love the shifting colors of this yarn, but found it quite splitty and had to pay extra attention to each stitch.

I received this darling pinkeep from sweet WendyJo. Thank you so much WendyJo for your friendship! I hope you come back to Colorado, I had such fun with you!
On the back is some fabric she purchased at my favorite quilt shop :)
And Paula sent me these wonderful knitty goodies! You can never have too much yarn or too many cute patterns. And I really adore that cute sock-blocker key chain! Thank you so much Paula for your thoughtful and generous gift and for your friendship too!
I have some new starts that I'll be back soon to show you. And dare I say it, one or two of them could be cross stitch!?!? Now that I've let that slip, I've probably jinxed my stitching mojo!!!
Thanks for visiting my neck of the woods and for all your sweet comments! Have a good one :)
Those socks are wonderful! What a nice treat too!
ReplyDeleteLove those socks. You always find the best yarns and patterns.
ReplyDeleteLots of nice gifts you have received there. Looking forward to seeing those new starts!

ReplyDeleteI love the little sock blocker keychain. That is so adorable!
I'm flipping back and forth between sock knitting and cross stitching grandbaby's Christmas stocking, and I find them to be a nice complement to each other. I do have to sort of time myself lest I get carried away with one or the other (um, mostly sock knitting, I have to say).
Sock #2 of of current pair more than 2/3 done. :-) I hope to have at least a week's worth of socks before cool weather comes. I now have shoes to "showcase" them. LOL
Lovely socks and beautiful gifts from your friends.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what your stitching.
Hmmm. I have a Zauberball waiting in the wings and that pattern....gotta finish what's on my needles first though. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteI just love those socks. I wish that I could get up the courage to try to make them myself!
ReplyDeleteI know how hard it is to post sometimes - I have the same problem. I keep telling myself I'll do it once a week, but it seems to end up being two.
Zauberball... that's magic indeed! Gorgeous colourway!! What great gifts!! Enjoy!! Could there possibly be more socks in your future... LOL!!?

ReplyDeleteCan you tell me who the designer is on your patriotic picture upper right? "But by the grace of God go I." What a cute sampler! Love all your patriotic photos!
Niiiice socks!
ReplyDeleteAnd such a pretty pinkeep from WendyJo
Those socks are cute! Hard to look at wool socks, though, when it's so hot here in SC.
ReplyDeleteGreat new gift from Wendy Jo....happy stitching/knitting.
Thanks for trying my pattern. Love that color. I have a few Zauberballs in my stash.
