Cottage Lace

Sometimes my need to have a finished object is overwhelming.  So much so, that I actually dug out a sweater that was close to becoming a UFO.  You might remember when I started it last September.  The knitting really did fly off the needles, only taking a week or so to knit all the pieces.  And then the dreaded job of seaming made me abandon it.  I pulled it out a couple of days ago, knowing there wasn't that much left to do:  sewed the last cuff to the left sleeve, seamed the left sleeve up, and attached the collar.  Blocked it and now I can call it good.

And it is good, very good!  Warm and cozy and swingy (albeit, too warm and cozy to really appreciate right now with our 90+ temps!)  But it makes me look forward to chilly days ahead when I can throw it on :)

Thanks for stopping by my neck of the woods, Happy Sunday!

  5. So glad you finished it, it is gorgeous! I really love the cuff detail and the collar.

It's rare that I get to finish any knitting. I'm slow and not focused on just one hobby. I love the process but like you sometimes I feel the overwhelming need to completely finish something!
