I'm not one who usually names my knitting projects, but I'm calling these my "Good-Bye Summer Socks". I started these with one week left of summer vacation and have been knitting on them in the mornings while supervising my boys on the playground before school. (There's a 20 minute window in the mornings between when Oldest gets dropped off and when the boys can be "officially" dropped off.) It's been quite chilly sitting on the bench knitting...making me realize that wool-sock-weather is not too far away. Oh, and the color is Summer Moss Jacquard...thus the whole Good-Bye Summer theme.
A little twisted rib for the cuff...
Some reinforced heels...

Ooooooh they are so very pretty. And they look so comfy and cozy. Reminds me that I better start check my sock draws to see how many socks are missing since Rory started stealing them. :) I love the name. Especially since I really don't like summer. Spring and fall are my seasons.
