Sea Waves Spa Cloth

Materials:
~1 50g/155yd skein sportweight cotton yarn
~size 5 needles (or needles that give you a fabric you like, gauge not a big deal)
~2 stitch markers (optional)
Measurements: approximately 10 inches square after blocking
Pattern:
Cast on 51 stitches. Knit 4 rows in garter stitch.
Row 1 (RS): Knit 3 stitches and place marker. Begin pattern; *K4, YO, sl 1, k1, psso, k3*, repeat * 4 more times. Place marker, knit last 3 stitches. (Knit first 3 and last 3 stitches on every row.)
Row 2 (WS) and all WS rows: Knit first 3 and last 3 stitches, purl all remaining stitches.
Row 3 (RS): Knit 3. *K2, k2 tog, YO, k1, YO, sl 1, k1, psso, k2*, repeat * 4 more times. Knit 3.
Row 5 (RS): Knit 3. *K1, k2 tog, YO, k3, YO, sl 1, k1, psso, k1*, repeat * 4 more times. Knit 3.
Row 7 (RS): Knit 3. *K2 tog, YO, k5, YO, sl 1, k1, psso*, repeat * 4 more times. Knit 3
Row 8 (WS): Knit first and last 3 stitches, purl all remaining stitches.
Work rows 1-8 seven times. Work rows 1-7 once. Knit 4 rows in garter stitch and bind off. Weave in all ends.
Dampen and block to approximately 10 inches square. Let washcloth dry completely before removing pins.

ReplyDeleteLove the two wash cloths. Thanks for sharing the patterns. They are a "someday" project for me. Can't quit master those stitches yet. Really like the "Goodbye Summer" socks. I'll have o try that Kroy color. Our local Michael's has been stocking a lot of Kroy colors lately.
