Meatball Tortellini soup. One of Hubby's faves.
*recipe* below.
These socks should be done by now. And I'm really annoyed that they're taking so long. 6 days so far for plain socks. I blame it on feeling crappy.
*Meatball Tortellini Soup* (this makes a lot, you can easily halve it)
32 oz frozen meatballs
19 oz frozen cheese tortellini
10-12 oz frozen green beans
10-12 oz frozen sweet peas
34 oz jar spaghetti sauce
3- 14 oz cans beef broth
dried basil, 2-3Tbsp
garlic powder, 2-3Tbsp
fresh ground black pepper, to taste
2-3 bay leaves
I put everything but the tortellini in a big pot and bring to a boil, reduce to simmer for approx 1 hour.
Add frozen tortellini and bring back to simmer for 30 minutes or until tortellini are done, stirring occasionally to keep tortellini from sticking.
Serve with fresh grated parmesan and garlic bread!
And don't forget, you still have time to enter my giveaway if you haven't done so yet!

Only six days for socks? I'm really, really slow! They take me forever (think months) because I only knit right now when I can't stitch. Oh my gosh, I think you're lightning-fast. And they're wonderful, as are your ornaments.
Hope you feel better soon.
Okay, I adore every thing in this post, except for your sickness.
Unsolicited health advice: Slice fresh ginger and boil it in water--lotsa ginger; maybe 1" worth--I put a bunch of water and leave it to steep after I have my first cup, then re-boil later and drink throughout the day. If it is too peppery for you, you can add maple (real only) syrup or honey.
I LOVE that sock yarn you are using; gorgeous and so hard to believe they are only plain socks!
You have inspired me in knitting once again! Dishcloths a year or two ago; now the Jared Flood Noro scarf! Yay!
Purty socks and good comfort food. Hope you feel better shortly.
(get well soon hugs) x
Hope you feel better soon! The soup looks tasty and I don't think 6 days is too long for plain socks - I do love that yarn. I think I have a ball of Opal like that in my stash - I least I hope I do - I need to go look for it --take good care of yourself!
Feel better soon Staci!
Socks generally take me a couple of months! You're doing great and I can't believe you've gotten that much done while you're sick.
I think I can smell that delicious soup!
Plain socks??? Those socks are anything but plain!
Hey, will it cheer you up to hear that using your handmade dish cloths cheered ME up today?? :D
Hope you are feeling better soon.
Aww... Feel better!
The socks look great. And it drives me bananas that second socks take so darned long. I think that's why all of my second socks end up about a half inch short. Heh.
Hope you feel better soon Staci! I enjoyed your photos.
