My sock needles are almost never empty.
But there was almost a full month where they were.
Thankfully, Middle had a band concert.
So I cast on some very plain ones to take with me.
Sock respite over.
Socks have resumed...

Happy Sunday!
Just love, love those socks, especially the first pair. That is something that I have to learn how to make one of these days. I'll bet they're so warm!
ReplyDeleteI 'discovered' your blog from looking around for knitted discloths. Thank you for a great tutorial!
ReplyDeleteWhat I really discovered is what a prolific knitter you are and your love of cross-stitch, too. I'm going to poke around your blog and see what I've been missing.
Thanks for sharing!
Your stripes are lined up PERFECTLY!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely sock you knit! You are very talented and your work is perfection. :)
ReplyDeleteLove them all, Staci, but that first pair is outstanding!! Beautiful color and design...
ReplyDeleteHello
ReplyDeleteLove your socks, all of them are great!
what lovely socks
ReplyDeleteHappy Mothers Day from the UK
Wonderful socks! I've really got to start knitting them again. It's been way too long.
ReplyDeleteStaci,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful socks! They look warm and comfy.
I just love all your sock!
ReplyDeleteThe last pair are especially pretty :-)
As always, I LOVE your socks!
ReplyDeleteYou must be the Queen of knitted socks Staci. They seem to fly off your needles effortlessly and always look so good.
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering where you keep them all as you must have a lot!
Love your latest especially the first pair. Cross Stitch Lounge Socks - what a great name!
Margaret
Great socking!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking socks! I need to go check out the Cross Stitch lounge pattern. Like you I always have a pair of socks close at hand to work on. My friends tease me when I take out a pair (plain stockinette) and put in a row or two while we wait for dinner at a restaurant, but all those little bits of time add up. And I truly believe that I'm ADD and this helps me from getting antsy. I wish the nuns had taught me to knit as a child - I'd have spent less time in a corner for talking - well, maybe not - LOL!
ReplyDeleteI want, want, want to knit beautiful socks just like you!! I am taking my first class in socks in April. It's a "toe-up" class based on Cat Bordhi's work. If I can master that, maybe I'll take a "toe-down" class-or something. But I'll be coming back to see your work.
ReplyDeletePretty socks! I just love the first pair and the one with the picot edging. The edging makes them so feminine...pretty!
ReplyDeleteSockety-socks!!! Just love 'em. My "mass production" has slowed a bit too, but I just can't been gone from them for long.
ReplyDeleteWhat's not to love about your socks! I have some striped Candide yarn that I haven't used yet but now I think I may try some boot/Wellie socks. All your patterns and projects are so inspiring, Staci, thank you for sharing them here.
ReplyDeleteCosy warm toes in your house, very nice.
ReplyDeleteLovely socks - You are so talented ;)
ReplyDeleteYour socks are all beautiful. I love knitting socks. I added you to my Ravelry friend list. I always forget I have Ravelry. LOL
ReplyDeleteA simply socktastic post Staci xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a great batch of socks!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteReally love the coloring on the Serenity/pink & brown sock yarn. Stripey AND heathered? SIGN ME UP!
Love the socks! Like you, my sock needles are rarely empty. I recently tried the picot edge socks because of all the pretty pairs on your blog with the same edge. They are so pretty! I can't wait to get them off my needles and on my feet! Thanks for the inspiration! (and the link to the directions!)
ReplyDeleteYOU ARE VERY TALENTED!
ReplyDeleteSweet socks, Staci! Say that a few times fast. ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Great socks! I think I have said it before - taking up knitting again will be one of the first things I'll be doing after retiring in about a year. You are my inspiration ...
ReplyDeleteI'm a new visitor to your blog - I'm not a knitter but I just love your socks, they're gorgeous
ReplyDeleteLove the socks! Maybe if I could just get a pair started - I do spend a lot of time waiting. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the colors and the textures!
ReplyDeleteI love those cross stitch socks! Such a pretty pattern, and I like the color you chose. Something about picot makes me run screaming away. :) I love the way it looks though - just not crazy about the knitting of it! I wish I was because I do like it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful socks Staci..........you are undeniably the queen of sock knitting. x
ReplyDeleteJust dropping back by to say hello and to see what you have created! Hope all is well.
ReplyDeleteMy poor sock needles have been idle for a while. I need to knit another pair!

Hello Staci
ReplyDeleteI've just joined your lovely blog!
I was encouraged to visit you by Daffycat, to see your finishing technique with beads - I will definitely try it on my next pin cushion - THANK YOU!
I'm hoping you will be blogging again in the future, as you are an inspiration, especially to newbies like me!

You've been busy which is very inspiring! I think it's time for another pair of socks, waiting for a skein of Noro to arrive in the post so I can get started.
