Hello,

my poor neglected little blog. I can't believe it's already September! The kiddos went back to school on the 19th and it's been a whirlwind of activity and committments and homework. Oldest started high school...unbelievable. Middle is in 4th grade and Youngest in 2nd...amazing. And I really should be prepared for this, but sometimes it's a bit overwhelming, that we get EVEN BUSIER each year!

I have yet to get myself into a daytime school routine. Partly because I don't have a carpool this year so I'm driving more. And partly because I've been cleaning out and reorganizing around the house. I have 2 more closets to tackle and then the garage, ugh!

My cross stitching mojo is still eluding me. But I've been knitting as much as possible :) I've even got proof, lol. I restocked my mom's sock drawer for her birthday...

I finished my cable hoodie!!! I am so excited about this one:) When we've got some free time around here, I'll wrangle someone into taking pics of it actually being worn...
And the proper way to celebrate a finish, is to Start Something New...

There's a definite change in the air and I'm ready for fall. Bring on the sweater weather! And that also means some comfort cooking that I just don't feel like doing during the summer. Check out this yummy foodie blog. I've already made a few recipes that she featured and they were both delish!

Thanks for stopping by my neck of the woods. Sending you all a little Colorado Sunshine!

  2. I enjoy your knitting just as much as your stitching. The socks and hoodie are gorgeous! I like your saying "the proper way to end something is to start something new". I'm going to have to keep that my motto. Hope your kids have a good year at school!

  3. Oh Staci, you are a woman after my own heart, a prolific knitter. I wish I had the time. Your work looks lovely and your mum is indeed very lucky to get all those lovely socks. My mum used to knit me mittens. She has't been able to in years now and I am missing them. Oh how I wish I had a pair. Thanks so much for mentioning my blog! I'm so glad that you like the recipes and that you have enjoyed making them! You've made my day!!

  19. Your knitting is always amazing to behold. :) I envy your skill. I hear you on being busy with the kids back in school! Somehow I always think that once the kids are back in school that I'll have more time. I have barely stitched at all this week and I am developing a facial tic.

    Hope your mojo returns soon!

  28. Oh ... oh ... the socks! Your socks send me right over the edge. And the hoodie is something I'd wear constantly during the winter. The new start looks like a perfect idea also. But let's not have cool weather just yet.

  30. I wonder if I could persuade my daughter to fill my sock drawer with hand-knitted socks? Socks that actually fit. Grown up socks so I do not have to buy children's socks to fit my little feet!

    Great cable hoodie Staci!
