Nine!

Check it out......nine knitty finishes crossed off my holiday list! My favorite scarf pattern this season. And to top it off, they've all used stash yarn :)

These dishcloths remind of rolls of Life Savers. And hopefully they'll make kitchen duty sweet and cheery! And even sweeter, over half the yarn came from my stash.

And we certainly can't forget these washcloths and all natural soaps for some bathtime pampering. And bear with me because I just have to say that all the cotton yarn except the gold-colored one came from my stash too! (I guess that explains my blog's name, lol!)

Before I start feeling too smug, I must remind myself I'm only halfway through the list. And I MUST RESIST the temptation to start some humongous, elaborate holiday cross stitch project in hopes of displaying it THIS YEAR. 'Tis a very difficult thing since I have quite an avalanche of mojo (would that be the opposite of a "lack of stitching mojo"?) Well, whatever it's called, everytime I turn around I see these Great Big Projects just screaming my name. Literally, haunting my thoughts and nights. "MUST RESIST. Must Resist. must resist. must..."

  14. You know...I've admired your cloths before...thinking I need to crochet some (I can knit but crochet to me is easier). So guess what? Yesterday I went to a nice little holiday bazaar deal and I bought some handmade soaps Honey, Oatmeal and Goats Milk. Today I'm headed somewhere to find some Organic Lion Brand Cotton yarn and I'm gonna dust off my crochet hooks and make up some wash cloths and pair them with the soap a la Staci so that I can pass around gifts to all the female teachers this year instead of my usual caramel corn.
    THANK YOU for the inspiration!

  16. Staci, I think seeing these posts with the pics of your knitty goodness is what makes me want to grab my knitting needles and get cracking. Problem is that want and skill are two verrrrry vastly different things in my knitting world!! LOL So instead, I look at your pics and drool a bit over the keyboard and marvel at your skill. I am sooo impressed! I know the recipients will love the time & effort and shoot, even the beautiful way you wrapped things up!

  17. Wow, congrats on your finishes! Completing even half your list is no small feat and the scarves and wash cloths look gorgeous. I know what you mean--it's really hard to resist starting up a big project for Christmas. I am telling myself that the week of Christmas I can do that. I hope I convince myself. :)
