I chose a much lighter fabric. I think the darker fabric of the model masks the sweetness of the design. I've put the pattern on my de-stash blog if anyone is interested. **edited** this chart has been sold, thank you for your interest!
And now a question dear friends. These are the two bunnies I've stitched for Easter (the BBD bunny is from last year.) I'd like to stitch another one. Something sweet, but not too cutesy (and definitely not cartoonish.) Prim or vintage looking would be good too. Any suggestions???

ReplyDeleteI love your lighter version of Briar Rabbit. He seems to hop right out of the picture and is much livelier and busy, just like a rabbit should be somehow and the frame is perfect for it.
I think it's a great idea stitching another companion for your set and some of the suggestions have been excellent. If it was me, I think i would choose of the Sheepish Designs Wabbits. She has got several. Wabbit in the Garden is my favourite but Easter Wabbit is appropriate.
It's always a pleasure to stop by your neck of the woods :>)

What an adorable finish, Staci! YGG! It reminds me that I have this all kitted up... I think I actually bought the kit of it from Market. It is too cute. I agree with Berit's suggestion of Patience 1898, it would go nicely with the rabbits you've already done. Also, La D Da has two other rabbit designs where the two rabbits are looking at each other--they can be stitched individually. They're not too cutesie.

one else I can write down the
chart name and designer and
order it for myself at some
point in time.
I'm writing Briar Rabbit on that
list!! This is such a cute
design, but seeing the cover of
the chart I realized that I would
not have given this project a
second glance going by the look
of it stitched on that green (?)
fabric. You really improved the
look of this piece by stitching
it on the lighter fabric. It is
a delight, and makes a nice
companion to the BBD bunny.
It would appear that you've been
given quite a few choices as a
third bunny for this set so it
will be interesting to see which
one you decide to stitch.
Wish we had Hobby Lobby in Canada
because they seem to sell really
lovely frames.
