Feelin' Stripey

Hello All!  Thank you to all of you prospective ribbon-adopters!!!  Congrats to Blu~~will be emailing you shortly :)  And a Great Big Thank You sweet blogging friends who've bestowed awards on me, I appreciate your thoughtfulness :)

I've been knitting~~of course!  Socks~~naturally!  I finished a "plain" pair of mis-matched stripey ones...

56 stitch basic stockinette sock
size:  women's sm/med
yarn:  Sassy Stripes by Cascade Yarns,
color # 765
2 skeins:  50g/200m
needles:  size 2 dpn's

I finished a pair of anklets today, but no pic yet because it's snowing (again!)  I'll take one when there's better lighting :)  But I do have a photo of another stripey sock in progress.  I'm completely copying this one.  Noro yarn, 5 row stripes, one ball~~knit alternating with one end from inside and one end from outside of ball...

I've been getting lots of sock-knitting questions...and I've found some sites that you might find helpful:

Thanks for stopping by my neck of the woods and for all your wonderful comments!  Happy Knitting :)

  3. The red and blue stripies don't seem "mis-matched" to me. All of my socks turn out that way!

  24. Hi Staci,

You know, if you hadn't pointed out
that those striped socks were mis-
matched I would never have noticed.
And I'm sure that once they're being
worn on someone's feet no one else
will notice either. They look quite
    pretty and cozy to me.

The graduated color changes in the
pair of socks that you're stitcing
now look quite interesting and I
look forward to seeing the finished
    pair.

    The combination of your beautifully
knitted wash clothes and those very
pretty gift tags from Michaels will
    make the lucky recipients very
happy I'm sure. They don't even
need to be wrapped because the
wonderful colors plus the tags and
the ribbon tied into bows looks
    makes for a terrific combination
    as is.

    Those Brewster socks in that
    delicious "Fabulous Fall" color
    are gorgeous!!! Love that color!!
I love the ribbing worked into
the pattern and they are a great
    color combination too.

I'm glad to see some of your
    cross stitching too. The Pin
cushion that you made for Paula
is a cute design. The black thread
really shows up nicely on your
    Staci dyed evenweave fabric and
the black beaded edges finish the
    whole piece nicely.

    You're still getting snow?? We've
    been getting rain lately although
    today was an absolutely gorgeous
day with lots of sunshine and warm
    temperatures. Of course since it
was a work day we didn't really
have a chance to enjoy it as much
    as we would have liked.

Any time you need thread wound
onto bobbins give me a shout and
I'll come right down and give you
a hand with it. It beats working!

    Cheers!
