Denim Picots

A project that begins and ends neatly really tickles my fancy...

I wear a lot of jeans, so these are a wardrobe necessity with their various blues...

I find self-striping yarn endlessly entertaining (why yes, I am easily amused!)

56 stitch stockinette socks with picot edge

(I use Claudia's picot edge directions found here)

women's size sm/med

yarn: Austermann Step, color #02

1 skein: 100g/420m

needles: size 2 dpn's

My newest sock. Is it wrong that I'm in love with the yarn? and the needles?

Thank you to everyone who purchased from my De-Stash Blog, I really appreciate it! Will let you know when I put more things over there. And for those who have asked questions and are awaiting replies...there wasn't any contact info. Please email me so that I can respond!

Thanks for visiting me today! Wishing you a Happy Tuesday!!!

Hi Staci,
OK, you just convinced me. I have got to learn how to knit myself. I miss my knitted socks. My mom was my knitted sock provided. I love handmade knitted socks and miss getting new ones. I would pick up yarn and she would knit up my socks. I miss her. Your socks are gorgeous!

Gorgeous socks Staci! Seeing the picot edge first, I almost thought you'd stitched a pair of Dancing Ewe's Susie's Reading Mitts (they're on my to knit list). Wonderful colour you chose, just perfect with jeans :)

Another fantastic pair of socks! I love the yarn color of this one :)

Love the socks, and the new yarn too!

Do you mind sharing what needles you are in love with? I like wood and bamboo as they keep the yarn from sliding off, but as I knit continental, I like a good point...

Thanks
Jo

Staci - Those socks are so coo! I think the blue socks especially are great (I'm a jeans lover myself).

I've never knit a picot edge before but it looks so very cute! I'll have to try it soon. We need details on the yarn for the latest pair of socks. Love it!

Is it wrong to love yarn/ needles/threads??? What a question to ask your fellow stitchy/knitty bloggers! You have every right and reason to love your yarn and all the fabulous projects you make with them.

I just love all your beautiful knitting projects. I wish I could learn to knit, but then I'd have to have ANOTHER stash to enhance. Oh well! Beautiful work, as always!

Oh no, Staci, nothing wrong with it. The red-orange yarn is totally fantastic, love that colour. And the blue of the finished socks as well.

Love the socks, I am also knitting socks using the self stripping/designing yarn.
