What a week!

Dear Stitching Friends it has been quite a week! Last Friday I took Oldest for xrays on her ankle, on the previous Sunday she took a pitch in the ankle while at bat (fast pitch softball.) After a week of hopping along and no improvement we were worried that she had a fracture or a chipped bone, but everything was fine and she is much improved :)

Sunday Youngest wiped out while riding his scooter. He has a scab on his cheekbone right by his eye and a one above his eye. Scrapes up both arms, legs, and knees and a bruise on the back of his hand. He's gonna look fabulous in his b-day pics tomorrow :)

Then later Sunday afternoon, hubby wiped out on Middle's ripstick. A trip to the ER and he broke his collarbone in 3 places. A visit to the orthopedist yesterday and he'll be in a sling with his left arm completely immobilized for 6 weeks. There's a 10% chance that it won't heal and he'll need surgery because of it being 3 breaks, so we're praying that it heals :) I swear there's a 17yr old trapped inside his 44yr old body, but I guess boys will be boys :)

So on to some quick stitchy news. Both Kathy and Lisa have received their gifts that I stitched for them for my month anniversary so I can now show them...

Kathy's left; Robin on an Egg freebie by Bent Creek

Lisa's right; Mausimom freebies

And Daniela let me know that she received her Fair and Square round 6. It's the spring design from Brightneedle's Season Petites. This is the first time that I stitched a design that was the perfect size, it was a nice change!

I'm glad that everyone likes everything :) I must admit I worry that the recipients won't like what I've made or that my stitching/finishing isn't up to par, or that the items won't make it there, etc. A born worrier I guess :)

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments on my F&S finishes! I've been smiling all week (except for when I'm stressing over all the weekend warriors I live with, LOL!) Thank you so much for visiting, now I'm off to bake giant M&M cookies (that's what Youngest wants to take to school for his b-day treat!) Have a great day folks!!!

I love your thread-holder gifts! You stitched front and back - how terrific. Sounds like you have had an accident-filled week. I hope the third one was the end of it for you! You definitely need to get some stitching time in to unwind a little.

Boys will be boys no matter the age. Good luck with the healing process.

I love my floss tag. Now need to figure out which project deserves to have the floss tag with it. However, I am going to have to be careful that my stitching friends don't swipe it from me. Thinking of using the floss tag idea for our next sleepover in the fall.

Found the colored rings at Wal-mart. Love them too. I think I will save some for goodie bags for the stitcher's sleepover.

Hang in there and try to keep the boys all in one piece.

We are lucky I guess that we really can't get hurt stitching (unless we get poked with a pin or needle). Hope you stay healthy too and keep up the beautiful work. I have been looking everywhere for the colored rings...I got some plain silver ones at Staples but they are stiff and don't open much....I know you said Office Depot but none in our area. Maybe someone will see this and offer to send me some??? pj
