HoE for Margaret S!

Margaret has received the pinkeep I made her for the Hooked on Exchanging freebie exchange...

a mon ami Pierre: Stitcher Hornbook

fabric: 32ct evenweave remnant (I think)

fiber: DMC 310

I haven't done much stitching this past week, but I did get my F&S round 7 mailed to Dani today. In addition to my 3 kiddos, I'm babysitting a 5yr old boy for the summer. So with 3 boys aged 5-8 with me, I don't think I'll be getting as much stitching done this summer as I thought, LOL ;)

It's perfection!! I love the contrast of the thread next to the fabric!

Staci, it's beautiful! Excellent job!

3 boys, 5-8...bless your heart! I did that one summer and believe me even with an inground pool it wasn't easy. You'll remember this summer for years to come. :)

So totally cool. Love it. I really like the dark color you used for the stitching.

We should do a personal exchange sometime :)

Your exchange was just fantastic. Thank you again. I am having such pleasure out of looking at all the goodies and wondering what I can make with thouse beautiful threads. DMC are so expensive in NZ I am delighted to have them.

Pretty pinkeep - great stitching and finishing. What braiding did you use for the edging? It's so unusual - just right for spacing the pins evenly!

Sounds like you will surely have your hands full this summer!!! I took the boys to the pool for the first time this week and while it was fun, I was a wreck trying to remember what to bring for each child AND myself. LOL I think I have it down now but I can't imagine adding another child or two into the mix. Enjoy though - aren't kids grand?

Your exchange finish is lovely - I'm sure she'll love it.

For several years I always had three boys ages 5-8! :D Yep, you'll be distracted this summer. I hope you have a park nearby where the boys can run off some energy. Boys and puppies need to run, lol. Then you can kit up a bunch of projects like this gorgeous sampler pinkeep you've just mailed off to stitch at the park! Maybe you'll get more done than you thought. :)

Staci,
Your finished pinkeep is lovely. I wish I could make one as beautiful as the ones I see. I guess with pratice I will get the hang of it.

Ahhhh the joys of summer. Have fun with the kids, those are great ages. And thank you for the well wishes.

Love how it turned out. I did this same pattern, also as a pinkeep, for a pinkeep exchange :) It is one of my favorites, and I plan on stitching it again for myself soon!

Staci,
I have looked and looked through my AMAP freebies and I just don't seem to have this cutie (I love that you chose black floss!). Any possibility you can send me a link for it? Thanks, brdstitcher at gmail dot com
