Little finishes

I finished up this little quaker freebie yesterday. It sat half done for far too long. It was going to be a biscornu originally, but in my laziness I used a tried-and-true finish ;) And because I was really lazy, I didn't stitch anything on the back either ;)

Quaker Time freebie
fabric: 28ct linen remnant
fiber: WDW, Deep Sea

And the stitching is finished on this Brightneedle piece. I think it's going to be a pinkeep when it grows up......I just need to search through my fabric stash, or maybe make a trip to my favorite quilt shop!

Mama Bird by Brightneedle,
Just Cross Stitch, April 2002
fabric: 32ct linen remnant
fibers: DMC alternative
Summertime seems the perfect season for quick little projects! Although there are some big ones that are calling my name, lol! Thanks for visiting and for all of your sweet comments......I'm a little behind in my blog reading but definately plan to get caught up soon! Happy stitching!!!

Staci, I love the BN finish and WOW, your latest tag is adorable :) LOVE IT!!!

I went shopping today for more tag supplies-I was able to buy several packs of eyelets, but still no colored rings-STAPLES only had silver...so I am still on a quest to find the colored ones :) I hope to try WM next and if they don't carry them-hopefully I can get to Office Depot next time I am out of town :)
I am totally addicted to these floss tags now and hope to work on one today :)
Thanks for your inspiration. I REALLY want to try one of the threadholder finishes that you have been using your F&S squares for-they are just adorable :)

((hugs))

The Quaker tag is beautiful and Tanya's freebies are so sweet. That's such a small Q-Snap!! Does that work better then stitching in hand? Would love to hear!!

Hi Staci,

As always its a blast to check
in on your blog and see all the
wonderful projects, big and small
that you've been working on lately.

The Good Morning and Good Night
squares from the Sampler Girl are
so pretty, and I love the thread
colour that you stitched them with.
Good choice.

Mama Bird turned out well also,
and again the thread colours
are perfect. This set is
adorable!

I am in love with Winter Symphony
which you featured, all framed
and looking wonderful, in your
post of June 16th. The blue
fabric and the darker colour in
the frame are perfect together.

Cheers!
