Recovering from the weekend

I swear the weekends are killing me! Youngest had a t-ball game Sat and Oldest had a softball tournament all weekend and played 3 games Sat and 2 games Sun. They came in 2nd place, lost by 2 points, and Oldest is really upset because she made the last out~~she slid into home plate and made it under the catcher but the ump said she was short of the plate, but she and the entire team say that the catcher dropped the ball! They all played great, and in the last game Oldest hit 2 balls into right field; one a single, one a double, had 2 RBI's, 4 stolen bases and scored once! And she also fielded an out! It was a fun, exciting and tiring weekend!!!

Saturday I received my ring tag exchange from Harmien! And all I can say is I LOVE IT!!! Harmien is so very talented and the tags she made are beautiful. Check out that wee little tag (I can barely tell the threads apart on the 40ct, there is no way I could stitch on it!)

It's such a funny coincidence that we both stitched BBD for each other......and even funnier that I've been eyeing Patriotic Bouquet for quite a while now! Thank you so much Harmien for making this such a fun exchange!

And happily, Dani received her round 7 Fair Squares. I was really beginning to worry since I mailed these out almost 3 weeks ago!

Long Dog Samplers: Moulin Rouge

fabric: 32ct oyster linen

fiber: DMC 498

Thankfully there's nothing going on tonight, Oldest's practice was cancelled and she has a game tomorrow night. The house isn't in too bad of shape, so I'm going to do a few more loads of laundry and fix dinner and then spend the rest of my evening with needle and thread (oh, how I missed them this weekend, lol!)

Harmien is very talented, almost as talented as you. What she stitched for you is beautiful! And the Moulin Rouge that you stitched is beautiful also!

Hope you get some rest this evening, Staci. Sounds like you haven't stopped yet! :)

I hope you enjoyed a peaceful evening after your very busy weekend! My mom used to say that the weekends were more exhausting than the work weeks becasue of the activities my brother and I were in. I'll soon find out, as our kids are getting older.... ;0

Lovely floss ring tags. Gorgeous F&S square too. I hate that when things take longer to arrive than they should, as I'm always on pins until I hear that they have been received.

Sorry to hear about the umps descision! Sport can be frustrating sometimes but also a valuable life lesson. Those tags are beautiful! I am hoping to make my first tag very soon.

I've been gone from blogging for about 2 weeks and wow what a collection of nice finishes you have in the past few posts. Always love those ring tags. Harmien's work is beautiful isn't it! I have an ornie from her stitched over one on some incredibly tiny count of fabric. It is a work of art.

Ugh! I'm sorry your oldest DD is upset over the loss; been there, done that. It is difficult to get over when the ump makes a bad call, especially in a tourney..those are 'special' apart from regular games. BIG bummer!! I feel for her. =(

I'm in awe at all the little 'goodies-n-trinkets'!! How special & neat for you, Staci! You deserve it all; enjoy!! =)
