Ornament for Edgar

Edgar is October's recipient for the Christmas Ornament Swap. Again, I agonized over the finishing and let it sit for a couple of weeks. I believe I've said before that I don't sew. Anything around here is hand-sewn, which I'm not very proficient at. But, luckily, I think it turned out! And even better, Edgar likes it :)

Why is it that those with the least confidence always turn out such gorgeous pieces???? This piece is absolutely adorable, and I, too, love the shape! So unique.

For someone that doesn't sew! It's easy to push a pedal, it's not so easy to sew stitch by stitch by hand! lol I'm with you there Staci, I can't sew a lick on the machine either but it looks like I'm going to have to learn, I just won a simple to sew "pillow book" in a giveaway! :D

Your Quaker Christmas Tree ornament is absolutely gorgeous! You did an excellent job as always, Edgar is very lucky indeed!

What a nice Quaker ornament. Now I need to go check out my 2002 JCS Ornament Magazine. Collards is one of my favorite colors, too.

It's a great ornament, congratulations!
I don't sew, too and everything I do is by hand - but I think the final result is good.
