Slouchy

"This is the perfect sweater to wear with your pajamas, especially on those mornings when you have to take the kids to school but don't feel like getting dressed. It's the sweater you wear on Sundays curled up with the newspaper or while cutting flowers in your garden on cool mornings." Why, yes it is. Even though the pattern was full of errors, ugh!

The Slouchy Cardigan
"Greetings From Knit Cafe"
yarn: Felted Tweed by Rowan
color: SH144
I adjusted the sleeves. I cast on the number of stitches after the first decrease round and then worked the sleeves from there. I'm short. All my life I've had to roll up sleeves so I could use my hands. Plus these sleeves are flared. I don't like really big, flared sleeves...probably because I'm short.
It's done. It fits. It's comfy. And it made it through it's first trial run this morning at Oldest's cross-country meet. Hurray for Slouchy, bring on the sweater weather!

Stacy,
I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your blog and what wonderful stitching/finishing you do!! It is a pleasure reading and geting ideas!! I do have a question, I finished my first floss tag for an exchange, it turned out well, but I used an eyelet that was too small for the ring...can you tell me what size you use? are they for fabric or scrapbooking?
Thanks so muc for your time!!

What a great sweater! I could use something like that...I definitely fit in the "take the kids to school in pajamas" category (well, I wear my flannel pants...not just a nightgown...LOL!). Alas, though, I cannot knit for nothin'.

Good morning Staci. Have you read Harmien's blog this morning. I was rolling on the floor in laughter. And I want one!!!! Just kidding but what fun. You should hire that girl as your knitting model.
Love that new sweater. Nice work there.

As a sweater addict (although I admit I'm a desert native - the irony of my life) I fancy myself a bit of an expert on sweater style. And that one is just too cute!!!

That looks so cozy. I work from home so it would be 'work clothes' for me. And I'm tall so I have the opposite problem from you... sleeves and pant legs are always too short!

I just love that sweater - I have a slouchy sweater and it's so comforting to wear. I'd like to say I knitted it but I didn't but I'm ok with that. I struggle to get through what little I have on my list right now!

Please say you don't work outside the home or I will be totally depressed and have to step up my efforts to feel on par with the rest of the blogging community!!! :)

I agree with the others - I always love your blog - it's so full of life and is an inspiration.

What a gorgeous sweater. I just love the Rowan Tweed yarn and what a great pattern you chose.
In one of your previous posts you inspired me to pick up my knitting needles again after a long rest.
Have almost finished a pair of socks and will pick up the lace shawl that lies abandoned and forgotten as soon as I finish the socks.
