Frosty Friday

We've received our first snow of the season...not even 1/4 inch. Just enough to dust the roofs, cars and grass. Just the way I like it :) I stitched this up this week, another to be finished into a pyn pillow. When I can find some sewing mojo...

Sarah's ABC Pincushion

from the book, Thank You Sarah Tobias

by Blackbird Designs

fabric: 32ct natural linen

fiber: DMC 310

Where is Parson Brown??? Hopefully he'll show up during tonight's SAT :)

This spot of brightness is today's project of choice...

Ahhh, yes. A new sock, just a basic one. There hasn't been any socks on the needles for a while. So even though the sun is hiding today, my needles will be happily clicking away with this fiery yarn :)

I hope you have a fantastic Friday filled with bright spots and all things stitchy!

We are having a dreary and rainy day today. No snow here in the south but lots of rain and thinder.

Ahhhh the perfect day to sit with some coffee and stitch the day away.

Your yarn for the sock is a beautiful color.

When I was a kid, I always thought the words to the song were 'We will build a snowman and pretend that he is parse and brown'. Wasn't sure what being parse and brown actually meant, but you know how grown-ups always say unintelligible things so I didn't question authority.

Enjoy your dusting!

No snow here yet, but a light dusting predicted for late tomorrow. Hope I'll be safe at home back from the competition in time to enjoy it (not on the road, where I DON'T enjoy it).
Great sock yarn. You do such amazing work. I really want to buy a copy of this Sarah Tobias book. I love all things by BBD.

Staci, who's Parson Brown's by? I love it! Such a nice little sampler...I must get my little hands on it and stitch it! I love your sock...if ever I learn to knit that's one of the things I'd like to make myself :-)

Hey little Sis...
Love your stocking surprise from the same...sweet funny lady (love her wallet chronicle) that sent Edgar...(yes I am a secret newbie stitch lerker) his cute, cute tiny little mittens! Love those too :)
The ever so sweet Big D told mom of your wonderful surprise and she told me...so of course I said we could both come here to check it out!
So many new pretty...fun christmasy things in the last few months! Merry Christmas :)

Sarah Tobias is lovely - love the black thread on natural linen! Is there a snowman in the gap on Parson Brown? And such pretty socks too - now who can I persuade to knit me some socks?!
