While I was dealing with a cold from one of the kiddos last month, I spent a couple of days on the couch~~doing nothing around the house. But I do have 3 finished projects to show for my couch time, lol!
Ta-da! These hadn't been touched since this post! These are pre-stamped pillowcases and DMC 321 (I think.)
And also finished...
This is just a stockinette scarf with a garter ridge thrown in every 12 rows or so. The yarn is Soy by Bernat. I cast on 30 stitches on size 8 needles (?) The fringe is made up of yarn leftovers from my stash.
This next scarf is from the book Luxury Yarn One-Skein Wonders. I haven't crocheted in a really long time because it's pretty hard on my wrists, but really liked this little pattern.
The yarn is a special blend of fibers, hand-spun and hand-dyed by my dear friend Kathy who raises angora goats. She calls this particular yarn "MoWoPaca"...Mohair, Wool, and Alpaca :)
Now I've got something cuddly to wrap around my neck and something pretty and red for my bed :) Have a terrific day everyone and thanks for stopping by my neck of the woods!

What a pretty assortment! I love the crocheted scarf especially.
Pretty finishes.
I need some couch time, achhoo!!!
I think I am coming down with something. lol
LOVE the red work pillowcases, and I WISH I knew how to crochet! Your scarves are gorgeous!
OK...I love everything that you're working on and have finished... Great job!
Your scarves are both so lovely! Time well spent on your couch :). I am glad that you are feeling better now.
That's a good start Staci...guess what I've not started yet....
So you'll probably have more to show than I will :)
Your couch time was definitely NOT of the potatoe variety! That's seriously gorgeous things finished!
The leftover yarn fringe scarf is cuuute!!
And sweet dreams on the beautiful pillowcases!!
P.S. ceiling done... phew!!
I love everything you've done, but particularly the scarf with the fringe, very cheerful!
Oh I love the embroidered pillowcases and the crocheted scarf! Seeing your little embroidery projects really makes me want to learn.
Your projects are always such a treat to see! I love your pillowcases. Anything stitched in red is so pretty. Your knit scarf is wonderful, and I love the idea of leftover yarn making up the fringe. The crochet scarf is stunning.
Just tell that little family of frogs to go live somewhere else!
Lovely finishes! I do love that Lo How a Rose piece too - I may need to dig that one out and start it!
These are fantastic!
great couch finishes! Love the pillow cases, course I'm partial to red :) and that scarf with the fringe is sooo cute :)
You are so talented - the pillowcases came out so pretty. Love your blog!!
Oh how I love those embrodered pillowcases! They are so special.
Beautiful knitted projects too. I really like the simplicity of the white scarf. It looks stunning with the coloured fringes.
Funnily enough, I have been struggling with my wrists too! I love your finishes. You have reinvented the stamped pillow I think. xx
Wow I just love that cream scarf with the multi coloured fringing it looks so classy.
Love the pillow shams and your wip too.
Gotta love that couch time! The finishes are all great, but I especially like the pillowcases and the fringe on the scarf. Very nice!
The pillow cases look great--I love the way red and white look together.
And using leftover yarn for scarf fringe is brilliant! It looks great :)
Your scarves look warm and cozy. The pillowcases are really special!
Staci - Hate those frogs!!! Love those pillowcases!!!! Who is the designer of yours and Vonna's SAL??? ohiodarlin@sbcglobal.net
Love the pillow cases and scarves-especially the stockinette one with fringe. All are beautiful.
Wow Staci you have been busy! Beautiful scarves especially the grey one.
Love the red on white pillowcases and a lovely start in Lo How a Rose.
Staci, those are some gorgeous things you have done! I'm drooling over the pillow cases. They are FABU. :)
Those scarves are very pretty! I especially like the off-white one.
Ooooh! Love your scarves. The fringed one just yells at me to learn to knit! ;)
And your "LO" project is gorgeous. What a great design! Hope you shake those frogs!
Love your beginning progress on Lo, How a Rose. Can't wait to see the next update. All of your scarves are wonderful. Sometimes I wish I could knit.
Hi Staci,
Hmmmm...whenever I have a cold
and spend time on the couch all
I am able to produce is a nasty
kleenex mountain. SNIFF!!
Those pillowcases are beautiful!
Such a pretty, dainty design and
the red thread just brings it to
life. Very nice.
Your Stockinette scarf is neat
looking and I love the multi
coloured fringe on the ends.
And that crochet scarf is
very pretty and a decided
departure from the everyday
style of scarf. Definitely
a scarf for your Sunday best
coat and special occasions.
Your Christmas ornaments for
the kids are going to be
lovely. I love how their
initial is in a different
colour from the rest of the
letters. Clever idea.
And the Pinkeep Janvier is
so sweet. Love the colours
in it, and those birds!!
I'm just starting to notice
references to Tilda dolls on
various blogs. They are so
cute, and the one that Arcadia
made for you is such a
treasure and an incredible
gift to receive. Are these
things hard to make do you
think???
Cheers!
What beautiful things! Low, How a Rose is something I'm afraid I may have to stitch. Your knitting and crochet projects are especially wonderful to me, because I knit poorly and can only crochet a long chain!
Wow, all looking good and beatiful.
All of your projects are beautiful!! I love your new start too! :)
Great start on your new SAL piece...
But I'm really loving the pillowcases!! You did a beautiful stitching job on those!
Pretty scarves too girl!
Wow, talk about productive couch time!! I love each project, but I think my most fave is the last scarf. I can crochet--not very well & I always forget between attempts--but certainly nothing like that! Beautiful! I stitched Lo, HAR a few years ago. It's so dainty and pretty--a fun piece to stitch. I'll enjoy watching your progress!
Hi Staci, just love the pillow cases and the scarves. Like the idea of using left over yarn for the fringe!!
I also like the Staci Nash "Hands to Work"
Have a good weekend -- Roberta
Dear Staci,
I get my fix when I look at your blog. Like you, I can embroider, knit and crochet, but seem to get stuck in a rut on one of them and "forget" to do the others. You remind me to keep all the crafts alive and well.
The pillowcases triggered a memory of days gone by- when I used to make stamped patterns. I used to embroider all sorts of things many years ago! The red just pops! It's so crisp and clean looking.
I enjoyed the creativity of using colorful fringe on a white scarf- it stimulated some ideas for me which is one of the things I love about your blog. You inspire me as well as everyone else who reads your blog! Thanks for being so good at posting pics for us to drool over.
Happy new year! Hope you're well!
ooh I love the crocheted scarf :)
wonderful job... and the rest of your progress... splendid!
I will have some couch time soon... hope it is as productive :)
Laura
Stacy,
The pillows are just gorgeous! And I love your crochet scarf, it's pretty and must be very warm.
The scarfs looks very pretty. I just started knitting again! I like to do so many creative things, but I always have some time too short.
It's nice watching your blog and I will visit it again.
Greetings from Belgium,
Wendy
Oooooh. The pillows are just stunningly beautiful. And the stockinette scarf is very cute too. I just love it all!
wow...what a pretty pillowcase
LOVE the idea of the stash-fringe on the scarf!! Congrats on your finishes and progress!
Everything is so lovely! Beautiful finishes and I just love the pillowcases.
Wow, you are one busy talented lady. Stamped embroidery, knitting, crocheting and counted cross stitch. YOu do it all and do it well. Love it all.
Lovely lovely scarves - I really like that muti-coloured fringe - very effective. Am new to your blogg. I like it very much!
