Lots to Share

Happy Monday to you dear friends.  My apologies for not commenting on your blogs lately...life has been very stressful, the sort of stress that knitting and stitching doesn't soothe and thus I've resorted to washing the walls.  Do you ever resort to stress cleaning???  Well, never mind the clean walls, let's move on to much better things!

Lynn B and I did a private exchange.  Lynn does extraordinarily gorgeous work, and mine can't hold a candle next to hers.  So I made Lynn a pair of pincushions because they're dead useful and one can never have too many ;)

JCS Ornament 2006

fabric:  32ct Lambswool linen
fiber:  DMC 115
filled with crushed walnuts

And look at the exquisite exchange I received in return!  Like I said, Lynn's workmanship has to be the most stunning I've ever seen.  Her attention to detail is second to none.  Thank you so much Lynn for this gorgeous exchange...I will treasure it forever!

My dear friend Wendy Jo is in town again (well, in Denver...thank you Rex's job!)  And we were able to get together last week.  I enjoy Wendy's company so much and we had a really great time.  She brought me the sweetest gift.  Check out those darling button magnets she made!  Thank you so much Wendy Jo for your friendship!

I guess that'll do it for me today :)  And I never thought I would, but I've joined Facebook, lol!  No farming for me though :)  Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a fantastic week ahead of you!!!

How pretty! I love it all--and your work is DEFINITELY comparable--don't sell yourself short! ;)

I'll second you on that stress; except that I haven't gotten to the cleaning yet. It's more like "Oh No and I have to clean, too! I wonder; is it the need to clean that adds to the stress, or does the cleaning just seem more imperative and overdue when the stress is around, lol!

At any rate, you're in my thoughts for more peaceful times soon!

All the stitching is lovely. Very successful exchange and great little buttons too!

So now you have another time-waster to play with. Facebook can be addicting, so watch out!

Gorgeous exchanges! I did facemuck but then I left as it caused me too much grief in so many life areas. (Not that you can "actually" leave). I am a happy blogging, stitching, crocheting bunny now. x

This really is a lovely exchange. No wonder both of you are thrilled. And you've got nice clean walls too Staci! At least some good came out of the stress :>) I think that when things are a bit out of control in our lives we always look for something to do that we do have contol over and cleaning usually fits the bill :>)
I love that really pretty Summer cushion. I'm still trying to decide whether it's a slice of yummy water melon or a delicious strawberry pie in a green dish :>)

Oh yeah. I stress clean all. the. time.

In fact, when I stress clean I even kick my husband and daughter out of the house so I can obsessively scrub something. :)

The swap looks fantastic. Everything is really gorgeous.

Love your pincushions..love the red! Lynn's is pretty...lucky you. The pink in the Summer design is darling...need to make a mental note of that one! It is perfect with the watermelon slice.

BTW....I wish stress did cause me to clean!!! It just causes me to be mean....

Wow!!!!!! Both your exchange pieces are gorgeous!!!!!!! DMC 115 is just a beautiful color!!!!

Sorry about your stress on cleaning. I do not have that problem right now cause it's just hubby and me, and I'm not the one who's messing up the place. So no complaining from my hubby is allowed!!!!!

I have finally gave in to facebook recently as well..... Never thought I would do it!!!

I get the same way when I'm overstressed. Knitting, Stitching, Quilting will not soothe me and sometimes reading won't either. I'm coming out of a 2 month long stress period and am glad to be back to the things I love to do. I hope things settle for you soon.

Wonderfully lovely exchange pieces!

What a great exchange! :D Hope that life will be (or already is) much less stressful.

Gorgeous stitching! Both yours and Lynn's.
I definitely don't understand the stress cleaning business. My natural tendency (like the universe) is towards chaos. When I'm stressed I just hole up in a corner with a pile of books and escape.

Oh wonderful! The exchange pieces are all very special, and they are so creatively finished with a lot of details that attract the eye.
I know the sort of stress that can't be soothed by stitching or reading. I start decluttering the "hot spots" in our house in these cases. So, you're not alone with your stress cleaning, lol.

What lovely exchange gifts you stitched for each other. Stress cleaning, yes, I can find myself doing that too.

I was glad to see that you're the Staci on FB that sent me the request! :) I don't do the games, either, but it's fun to read what people choose to post. I'm more of a reader than a poster.

Hope things are better soon. It's bad when you have to resort to cleaning to soothe the stress! I've done that more times than I care to admit. Hang in there!

Beautiful stitching and exchanges!
