The Age of Brass and Steam Kerchief by Orange Flower
freebie found here (Rav link)
needles: sz 9, 24in circular
yarn: Country by Caron, Deep Taupe
2 skeins: 185yds/85g each
modifications: I had two skeins of this so decided to go ahead and make it a little bigger. Added one more stockinette section and one more garter/eyelet section, but was worried that I didn’t have enough to do the final garter section so bound off…just 8g left :)
And I finished these socks...sort of a matched but mismatched deal. It's a good thing they weren't meant as a gift! And I've been watching these tutorials on darning (part 1 and part 2) and patching socks (part 1 and part 2)...and gosh, it looks so simple! I kinda wish I had some socks in need of both to try out the techniques, lol!!! Just a note, the clarity is kinda poor in these tutes, but it's enough to get the idea :)
64st basic stockinette socks
size: women's sm/med
needles: 2.25mm dpn's
yarn: Luxury Sock by Loops and Threads, Ocean
2 skeins: 229yds/50g each
(I talk here about the dyelot issue.)
And that, my friends, wraps everything up for me today! Thanks for stopping by my neck of the woods, wishing you a Happy Monday!!!

Beautiful finishes, Staci! I love the color of that shawl--soooo elegant.
Looks like a great, practical shawl and oh so pretty. And one more super pair of socks from the human sock machine!
Flip, Staci. It's not as if I need more knitty inspiration! I was just wondering what to do with my Rowan Purelife Revive...
Beautiful shawl! Sweet socks!
The scarf and socks are wonderful. I always forget to look around Ravelry when I'm not in the mood to knit, but I should because then I'll know just what to knit when I'm in the mood.
Both look great. I love the colors of the socks! Great job!
Great matching job on the socks; sorry about the annoying dye lot issue though. Thanks for the link to the cute shawl pattern; that looks like a fun knit. Love your "rain" stitcheries on your sidebar~describe our area perfectly!
Great stuff!!! :)
Man, that is the craziest dye job mix-up I have ever come across in a commercial yarn. (The pattern is nice though!)
Really lovely finishes. You are making my fingers itch... LOL!!
Staci, your work is just splendid! I love socks, mismatched yarn and all--quite a conversation piece, I'd say :)
Gorgeous finishes Staci! I love that name - Age of Brass and Steam Kerchief! The sock yarn is so pretty and fun.
The shawl is wonderful.
I thought of you when i was in the wool shop last week and a lady at the counter was saying about mismatched balls of wool LOL
2 wonderful finishes Staci, I love the colour fo the socks!
I love your finished socks.
Your kerchief turned out great as well! I wish I'd made mine larger too. I had enough yarn I think. I like it as is, but it would be nice to have it a bit larger!
LOVE your scarf. So beautiful Thanks for pointing me to the pattern. It's lovely. So are your socks. They turned out fantastic too, even with slight color differences. Gives the feet some personality I would say :)
Very pretty shawl and I LOVE those sock!
Look at all that fantastic knitting you're doing! Are you predicting a cold summer?
