First Tin Finish

I finally did my first tin finish. This didn't turn out exactly how I'd planned, there was a lot of trial and error! Glue and I have our issues too, and it all boils down to the little facts that glue is messy and I'm clumsy! But it's bright and cheery and that was the overall effect I was going for. My sister got it today and yay! she likes it :) And pssst, she found a pattern that she likes......and she wants to stitch it! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that maybe she'll get bitten by the stitching bug!!!

'Bloom' freebie by LizzieKate
fabric: 28ct evenweave remnant
fibers: recommended GAST,
except daffodil used in place of butternut squash
And yesterday on our way home from the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, we stopped in at a Joann's. I was armed with a 40% off coupon, but sadly no Emma's in sight! Then we ran into office depot, and check out these fun colored rings I found and the teensy weensy ones! In addition to the ones that I already have, I think I may be set for life in the ring department! LOL!!!

Thanks for visiting me and my lil' ol blog :) Have a great evening!

It sure doesn't look like your first tin ever - it looks wonderful! Now you will have to teach me how to do this - I have no clue. Hope your sister really does catch the stitching flu.

Your tin is just adorable! I love how you split the pattern and put the bloom part on the inside. God luck on getting your sister stitching.

The tin is very pretty - can't believe it's your first try! Well done.

I've been meaning to do a tin for ages, but I'm too much of a coward when it comes to finishing. :(
