Finding Fall

The last few days have been cooler than usual and there is a definate feel of fall in the air! The sun is shining, the skies are blue and the breeze has a slight chill...perfect :)

56st basic stockinette sock
women's size sm/med
yarn: Sock-Ease by Lion Brand,
color #200, Toffee
needles: Knitpicks size 2 dpn's

Newest sock (old pic, the first sock is already done.) While the previous sock reminded me of candy corn, this one looks like Indian Corn. Guess I've got a corn theme going.

Trying to figure out how to finish off this little JBW pumpkin I stitched last year :) I was hoping for a bit of inspiration from my stash of fall fabrics. Or actually, hoping that if I leave it out overnight the Tailor's mice will finish it for me...ok, no. I really do not want mice~~but if they're handsomely dressed mice who sew......

On a completely not-fall-related note...if you're considering the Me, Myself and I RR~~you better hurry! There are only 28 spaces left! I've decided on a "Four Seasons Prairie Schooler Village". It really gave me the perfect excuse to buy the charts I was gonna get anyway ;)

Thank you everyone for all the wonderful comments on Hubby's carving! You've said everything I've been telling him for ages. I read them all to him and he is so appreciative :)

Thanks for visiting......Happy Fall Y'all!!!

Happy Fall to you too, Staci! What a lovely post, and your socks (both of the Candy and the Indian Corn variety) are gorgeous!
If and when the mice come
(nicely dressed or not) be sure to send them my way!

Love the colours of your socks, Staci! We're feeling a slight chill to the air but I'm sure not as chilly as yours! And you know any finish that you do to that sweet little pumpkin is going to be perfect! "Happy Fall Y'all" to you and your family too! :D

Cooler weather? A nice breeze? I'll have to read your profile to see where you're at and get in on some of that. It is just scorching here in Ohio.
Love the socks, although it's hard to relate to them when it's 90+ degrees. I think your Fall fabrics are displayed just lovely the way they are. No need to stitch them up into anything at. all.

Staci, i think one of the white and orange plaids would be great with your pumpkin....but it also looks great display as is in the picture!!

Love the socks. The weather here is getting chillier, didn't have much of a summer either.

I am totally jealous of that fabric stash! How great is it to have all of those choices to pick from without leaving the house! And if the mice were good enough for Cinderella, they'd be good enough for me. Alas, I have to find my own time for finishing.

Love the sock colors. I wish I could do stuff like that. And it's still summer here in ohio. Very hot and humid still.

Such pretty Autumn photos! I love your socks and the white pumpkin in the background too! What a beautiful lot of Autumn fabrics. However you finish your French Country pumpkin it will be beautiful!

A nice autumny post! We're noticing the autumn days approaching here too and it's absolutely my favourite time of year.
I stitched the French Country Pumpkin and turned it into a pillow (my first pillow!) but I think I could've done better. I may do it again now that I'm acquiring my fabrics and experience.
Loooove your stash pic! It makes me want to go shopping, lol.

Have fun!

Those socks look SO comfy-cozy! Very pretty colors, Miss Staci!

I'm excited about the MM&I RR, too. Still undecided about what theme I'm going to use. Your Four Seasons sounds like it's going to be beautiful.

LOL @ "handsomely dressed mice who sew..."
