A couple of generously sized cotton washcloths......they're 10 1/2 inches square and these are not for the dishes, lol! And a couple bars of heavenly-scented, 100% organic soaps from France.
These knit up pretty quickly, I mean, as far as handmade gifts go. Maybe I'll get a head start on Christmas gifts. Or birthday gifts......strangely enough, the majority of my friends have birthdays in Nov and Dec.

yarn: Sugar and Cream cotton, ecru and white
needles: size 8
This is obviously not the yarn nor needles recommended in the pattern. I have big cones of Sugar and Cream, so I just used that. I cast on 45 stitches and only did the first and last 4 rows in seed stitch (instead of 7 as the pattern is written.) I like the generous size of these, and think they're perfect for gifts.
Now, I'm off to move the laundry around and knit some more gifts. Thanks for stopping by my neck of the woods!

You are so creative! Anyone I know would love to receive this as a gift!
Great gift! I wish I could knit but all that knit 1 purl 2 stuff is incomprehensible to me.
They are gorgeous, Staci. I really wish I knew how to knit. How did you learn?
How very lovely :) And so tasteful, for a minute there before I started reading, I thought you were now making your own soap too! Will that be next?! :)
I love them! And, my birthday is in November! lol
Seriously, let us know if you ever start selling those. (I know...too much work involved for profit..but just in case!) Terry in Arlington
Great gifts Staci - some lucky birthday girls out there!

Those are GREAT!
Knit to your hearts content! I think that those washcloths and the pretty soaps make a fabulous gift!
Those washcloths together with the soaps make wonderful gifts I think.
What a sweet gift set!
It is good when you have a couple of hobbies to ring the changes. I'm in a major knitting phase at the moment, although I think that's because RL friends are knitters, not stitchers.
Great gifts, Staci!! You just made me want to pick up my knitting needles again!
Pretty cute and adorable collections.thanks a lot for sharing.
Cheers!!

Nice!! They look great! Thanks for posting the link to the pattern.
I love your gift ideas! I don't knit, but I do crochet and the crochet basketweave stitch is one of my favorite stitches! I may have to 'borrow' your idea!
Love your blog! I will be following it!
