I have yet to get myself into a daytime school routine. Partly because I don't have a carpool this year so I'm driving more. And partly because I've been cleaning out and reorganizing around the house. I have 2 more closets to tackle and then the garage, ugh!
My cross stitching mojo is still eluding me. But I've been knitting as much as possible :) I've even got proof, lol. I restocked my mom's sock drawer for her birthday...
I finished my cable hoodie!!! I am so excited about this one:) When we've got some free time around here, I'll wrangle someone into taking pics of it actually being worn...
And the proper way to celebrate a finish, is to Start Something New...
There's a definite change in the air and I'm ready for fall. Bring on the sweater weather! And that also means some comfort cooking that I just don't feel like doing during the summer. Check out this yummy foodie blog. I've already made a few recipes that she featured and they were both delish!
Thanks for stopping by my neck of the woods. Sending you all a little Colorado Sunshine!

Hi staci glad your back!!!
Great to see you back. Lovely knitting. That sweater is simply stunning.
I enjoy your knitting just as much as your stitching. The socks and hoodie are gorgeous! I like your saying "the proper way to end something is to start something new". I'm going to have to keep that my motto. Hope your kids have a good year at school!
Oh Staci, you are a woman after my own heart, a prolific knitter. I wish I had the time. Your work looks lovely and your mum is indeed very lucky to get all those lovely socks. My mum used to knit me mittens. She has't been able to in years now and I am missing them. Oh how I wish I had a pair. Thanks so much for mentioning my blog! I'm so glad that you like the recipes and that you have enjoyed making them! You've made my day!!
Your knitting is really very beautiful! I love colours of the yarns and how it fits to pattern :)
Welcome back Staci. Glad to see I've got company in the knitting department. Everything is gorgeous and I love the hoodie. Beautiful!
The sockies and hoodie are just great! Bet your mom loved those socks-they're gorgeous! Looks like a new WIP is well undersay!
So nice to see a post from you! Maybe your stitching mojo is still on vacation but your knitting mojo is awesome - love the hoodie. I noticed you read a book by Ann Purser - I love her series. A new one will be out in November and I can't wait!
Welcome back to Bloggerville. You've been missed.
Love the hoodie and the new project looks like fun.
I am soooo jealous!! That hoodie is beautiful!! I just yesterday signed up for a knitting class ~ I cant wait to learn. I wanted to make socks but that hoodie is calling me (lol one day).
It does get busy this time of year with the kids going back to school.
Your mom is lucky to have so many wonderful pairs of socks from you!
What a gorgeous sweater and lucky mom to receive such a lovely gift of several pairs of knitted socks.
I hope you haven't permanently lost your stitching mojo as I would miss seeing your beautiful stitchy finishes.
Margaret
Gorgeous knitting! I'm amazed at how much you accomplish with the knitting needles in such a short amount of time.
I understand whole heartedly on the busy :)
And I bet your Mama loves her sock drawer being replinshed :)
What a sweet daughter you are. Yesterday morning I walked outside and the heat didn't suck the air from my lungs. Ahhh fall in TX, 9am and only 80 degrees.
Staci, I just love that hoodie and those sox! You are a wonderful knitter! And thanks for the link to the foodie blog, it is wonderful!
Staci,
It's great to see a post from you. Your knitting needles have been clack-clack-clacking along! Congratulations on finishing your hooded sweater. It's a beauty!
Ahh, so there you are. Missed you out here in blogland.
You have been knitting up a storm.
Wow! Look at you go on the knitting! Great job! I know your mom is thrilled! No one ever has too many socks when the weather gets chilly!
Your knitting is always amazing to behold. :) I envy your skill. I hear you on being busy with the kids back in school! Somehow I always think that once the kids are back in school that I'll have more time. I have barely stitched at all this week and I am developing a facial tic.
Hope your mojo returns soon!
Your knitting is absolutely gorgeous. I love that hoodie and the sweater that you're starting. I know exactly what you mean about the xstitching mojo - sometimes it disappears, but time obviously has not been wasted - you've made some beautiful things. I can't wait to see more.
That cabled hoodie is FABULOUS! Wow, you should be so tremendously proud of yourself. It's utterly gorgeous.
What an amazing hoodie! I wish I could do that!!!
Beautiful, warm, cozy looking finishes!
Thanks for the link to the food blog. I'll be checking it out.
Superb knitting, well done, nice to see you here.
Gosh you are a FABulous knitter, Staci!
Glad you are back! Pretty knitting, Staci!
Hello
The weather here is still Summery but early mornings can look a lot like Fall.
Love all the knitting you have done. Such a good choice of colours!! Cross stitch will be back when it will have to be back :-)
Good luck for your kids at school. In Portugal kids only start mid/end September!!
Hugs from our little neck of the woods!
Oh ... oh ... the socks! Your socks send me right over the edge. And the hoodie is something I'd wear constantly during the winter. The new start looks like a perfect idea also. But let's not have cool weather just yet.
Go on, show off the cable hoodie, it looks stunning!! And the food blog... o, yeah!! Having just come back from the UK it's perfect! Hope the September rush calms down for you!
I wonder if I could persuade my daughter to fill my sock drawer with hand-knitted socks? Socks that actually fit. Grown up socks so I do not have to buy children's socks to fit my little feet!
Great cable hoodie Staci!

Happy to see you're online :-)

Very nice knitting Staci. The hoodie is fab, you are right to be proud and I bet you mum loves all her new socks. Your new start look nice, I like the darker yarn.
You are making fantastic progress with your knitting projects...Everything looks great.
Super great hoodie!
Hi Staci. You've been knitting!!! Love all of it esp that hoodie cable. I think the gift ideas with soap and washcloths are beautiful. I don't think I'd use them. They look too nice. xx
