Knitting Frenzy

Still knitting...A Lot.
The goal of making a substantial dent in my yarn stash is fueling my knitting frenzy.
And Ravelry is to blame too.
Case in point:  this wrap.
I never wanted to make it.
Until I saw a finished one on Rav.
Oh yeah.
Ravelry is just a synonym for Enable.

Turns out this wrap is fabulous.
Nice mindless knitting (perfect for summertime and watching baseball.)
I can see myself wearing it...A Lot
(unlike some of the knitting, though wonderful and I'm pleased with, I just don't wear it much.
Surely, you can relate?!)
I wanted this to be wider than the pattern
and to also have a deeper ruffle.
You can find all the details here.

I had a sudden deep, fierce desire for cozy, over-the-knee socks to wear with my boots and short skirts this coming fall/winter.
(Thank you again Ravelry.)
Nothing like deciding this as we are now reaching 90deg temps.
You can find the cliff notes over here...

Did you catch that?
I'm trying to get you hooked on Rav too?

Awww gorgeous. Now that grey wrap might be just the thing to get rid of a bag full of grey yarn that I have. You know when you have a load of yarn and you just don't know what to do with it? Hmmm.... I think You dearie, are the enabler. xx

Too late ... I'm already hooked.

The wrap and the socks look great. It's hard to remember that we will ever need those things again when the temps are in the 90s.

Love your work as always. Ravelry is fabulous, but I just can't get inspired to knit in the summertime. And I don't have the kind of stash that must be overtaking your home either!

Love your shawl and your socks. Congrats on 2 great finishes. And you're right, Ravelry IS great if you're into knitting. It's simply the place to be for knitters.

I don't need much persuading Staci, I loose all sense of time and sometimes reason too when I'm browsing ravelry.......a truly wonderous place.

Those knee high socks look cosy and the wrap is gorgeous, I'll just pop back on rav for a quick looksee, lol.

I just signed up for Ravelry though my knitting skills are pretty basic. Talk about eye candy - all those patterns made my head spin. I adore your wrap. It almost makes me wish for fall...

I am loving the over the knee socks. Do you ever run
Into a problem with them slipping down? I am not much of
a knitter but did make knee socks ( using Opal yarn)
but they kept slipping down...drove me nuts!

Love knitting year round. Although I peek at Ravelry occasionally I find I can get lost in all the info...Seems to work best for VERY organized knitters. I just knit and knit. By the way you won a pair of socks from my needles......hope they are holding up.

Staci, I am always amazed at what you accomplish. your knitting is always so beautiful and love the designs and colors you pick and use. I am a member of the 'sock club' at our local knit shop. So far I have one sock almost done and the start of month 2's sock!!LOL!!
