Happy Friday!

Hello Dear Friends!  I'm so happy it's Friday...although the way we all dragged ourselves out of bed this morning, we were wishing it was Saturday, lol!  I sewed this little birdie into a simple pillow and added some vintage buttons that belonged to Hubby's Grandma.  Considering that the stitching was finished in 2009, it is downright shameful how long it's taken!

I've been remiss in showing this beautiful little gem of an ornament sent to me by sweet Julianne.  Thank you so much Julianne, I love it and look forward to putting it on my tree!

And I received this wonderful surprise in the mail!  Corinna no longer keeps a blog, but this bag is a gorgeous treasure.  She's right in saying that it's the perfect size for a sock or dishcloth project.  Thank you so much Corinna for your beautiful and thoughtful gift!

Thank you all so much for your thoughtful blogiversary wishes!  I wish I could send you each a little something...and how about Terri's amazing little poem she left.  How creative is she?!?!  Congratulations Julie (Julie's Stitchyknitter Journal)!  Will be sending you an email :)

Thanks again for stopping by, your visits brighten my day!  Sending you all a little Colorado Sunshine!!!

The robin pillow is adorable, Staci. Perfect for the onset of Spring!

I'm certainly not one to talk but how ironic that it took you three years to finish a pillow with the saying, "The early bird gets the worm." Haha. It looks great. The vintage buttons are the perfect finishing touch!

Thank you so much Staci for choosing me as your blogoversary winner, I feel very honoured to be receiving some of your wonderful knitting.

Love the robin pillow, he's a cutie. Julianne makes such beautiful ornaments, I was lucky enough to have a personal exchange of ornament with her.

Have a lovely weekend xxx

Love your finishes...don't worry I have sooooo many pieces that I have stitched and not "finished". I pull them out and visit them every now and again and tell myself...I should do something with this, and then it gets put away for the next "now and again" time. :)

A finish is a finish and it no longer matters how long the stitching was done! Great goodies you've received - I really like the dark trim on the PS piece with the red ribbon.

Awww...what a cute little pillow! Don't worry, Staci--I have things much older than 2009 that are still waiting patiently to be framed!!

Lovely gifts and congratulations to Julie. She is such a kind person, I'm thrilled that she won :)

What a cute pillow. I have to admit to have more than a few pieces like that, stitched several years ago, that I just haven't got round to finishing!

Two lovely gifts received!

I write because in one of your older posts you mentioned The Needleworker magazine (the internet never forgets). I am desperstely looking for a Dec/Jan 2001 issue. Specifically, Donna Yuen's Illuminated Nativity published in that issue. I have the pattern but no thread key. Can you possibly help me?
