After Oldest's xray, I ran into a Joann's that was conveniently close to the Dr's office and scored myself some 30% off Freedom courtesy of Gingher :) And then after Hubby's ortho visit, we ran into Michael's (quite close to his Dr's) and I found a little Uncle Sam. Then checked out Ross next door and found the Hershey Tins! There were only 2, and one was missing it's chocolate so the manager marked it down to $1! (the stars are just a few from my rather large collection and it's all sitting on my $3 garage sale chair, lol!)
So the silver lining to all the recent Dr visits is STASH, lol!!!

Very nice Blackbird Des Pinkeep!! Job well done.
Woot, nice tins & scissors, too :)
Wow! Your first experiences are a great success! Designs stitched one over one always look fabulous, you might get addicted to o/o stitching very soon.
I'm totally loving your doctor/stash visits :) Well done on your round pinkeep, it looks gorgeous! Over 1 is beautiful to look at, but, um, difficult to do (or maybe that's just me and my finger-dobbed glasses, ha ha!). I find I have to concentrate on my stitching totally (normally I'm also listening to something or watching telly) and need to take my glasses off, and have the most powerful light in the house trained on my stitching. Is it worth it??? :)
I love your round pinkeep! And you are so thrifty it's inspiring!
Nice job on the pinkeep! I am a great fan of Patriotic stuff. Love all of your stash.
Beautiful Pinkeep Staci! I love that its round.
So, are you planning to finish those tins some how, or just collecting them?
Your BD pinkeep turned out beautifully, Staci!
love those scissors!!!! everything is cute!

I love the round pinkeep, it's beautiful! Thanks for sharing, now I am inspired to try something new.
A MOST excellent pinkeep~well done!
Very patriotic entry today and fun to look at. A round pinkeep is an interesting idea and yours came out so good. I may have to give that a try, but definitely not on over-1! I'll leave that for the ladies with good eyesight.
wow! I'm drooling! That is a great round pinkeep!! and what a fun find the hershey tins :)
Beautiful work! It's gorgeous!
Your pinkeep looks fabulous! And I love all your patriotic goodies!
I like how you coordinate your doctor visits. How is everybody?
Staci, awesome stitching! Really love the sissors for personal reasons. :)
I meant scissors, see like Michele said you got me drooling! lol
A perfect round pinkeep - well done

Your pinkeep turned out great! I managed to snag one of those tins last year for my sister! And you found the scissors!!! What a great day!

Beautiful Pinkeep - well done! Love your Freedom Ginghers and the little Uncle Sam. A very aptly named post!! :)
I love your round pinkeep Staci. Beautifully finished:)
Hi Staci,
Thanks for stopping by! What a beautiful pinkeep.
You have such a great blog too. I am going to add it to my blog reader, so that we can keep in touch.

Love the little pinkeep. Over 1 is not my favorite either. Been doing a little, but rather do other stuff.
You ended up with quite a stash. I have the "Freedom" scissors too. I love them. They cut my silk very nicely. Was out today looking for the "emma" ones. They are purply lavender. Just my color. could not find them.
*thud*!! I AM SO glad I clicked on your blog link! I saw it in Daffycat's blog post about her yummy salsa, and I decided to be nosey and click on yours!
That pinkeep is AMAZIngggggg. I haven't seen a round one before, and I really like that! I have not done any as of yet, but I plan to eventually get gutsy enough to try. Yours is just lovely, and your stitching is top-notch. Thank you for sharing!

Super job on the pinkeep! Over one stitching is fun love those tins.
It's my first time visiting your blog. I would like to tell you that you're a very talented stitcher and finisher. Congratulations.
This Blackbird Design picture looks just gorgeous. First I thought, huh, a Blackbird Design that I don't know? But of course I know it, it just looks so very special over one. I'd be glad if I liked stitching over one better.
Great job, Staci!
Staci, that is just stunning!! Fabulous!! I think the finishing compliments the design so well, and your stitching is beautiful.
Just found your blog via Lisas. Your pin-keep and other finishes are beautiful.
Hugs

Whoa! Over one! It is absolutely gorgeous and so worthwhile but I can feel my eye muscles tense up just at the thought of it. And what great stash you scored!
Your pinkeep is gorgeous. I hope your DH heals quickly.
Hi Staci,
Your BBD round pinkeep is gorgeous!
1 over 1 is very beautiful!!
I think it's perfect!!
Love the design and your finish. The one-over-one is beautiful!
Congrats on the two firsts! YOu did a great job!
What a gorgeous patriotic display! Isn't it great when things all come together like that...so rare in Life. I love the stitching over-one. I haven't dared to try it yet.
staci: In response to your comment, it is possible these might be at other bead &/or craft stores. I haven't been to JoAnn's or Michael's lately. I thought they were pretty & at 50% off, a bargain compared to other thread winders available.
staci has left a new comment on your post "Q & A":
Adorable needlebooks :) And love your clever idea for the thread winders...I may have to search out hobby lobby!
Waaaayyyyy down here on the bottom I am saying! THANK YOU For stitching this...I had forgotten I had this pattern! ;) Your rendition is GORGEOUS and I may COPY ;) Which seems to be a current theme between myself and your ideas!
